Cosmetology License Requirements in Nevada

Pursue a career with training from Nevada beauty schools. You can choose to become a make-up artist, manicurist, or hair specialist. You can specialize in facials and waxing as an esthetician. In order to be eligible for a cosmetology license in Nevada, you must be of good moral character, complete at least a tenth grade education, and take the required number of training hours. Requirements for training:

  • Esthetician - 600 hours
  • Cosmetologist - 1800 hours
  • Electrologists - 500 hours (supervision from an approved electrologists)
  • Hair designer - 1200 hours
  • Manicurist - 500 hours


Passing the Nevada State Board written and practical exam is required as well as completing the specified number of training hours.
